Paul Meredew returned to The Cock in 2006 with an ambition to recreate the unique atmosphere he enjoyed in his earlier 5 years on Fair Green, but determined to offer something for all. This involved a substantial refurbishment to make The Cock the most stylish venue in Diss, without losing any of its character or deep heritage.

The bar offers a wide selection of typically 6 real ales from the cellar, with 2 rotating guest ales, which has led to recognition and listing of The Cock by CAMRA.

A full range of standard and premium lagers, ciders and spirits are also available, as well as a carefully researched wine list including special champagnes and sparkling wines.

A space-heated oak-beamed covered smoking deck caters for all, and the unique position facing Fair Green's famous sunsets makes The Cock an ideal destination for family customers.

But above all - It's still a pub!
